⁉️Super sappy post‼️ So, I am so proud of myself. What works for me, might not work for you. BUT, the 3 words of advice I could give a person are: PATIENCE, CONSISTENCY, and BALANCE. 3 things that I have had to learn over the past 6 months. As ignitefitness.studio celebrates the “1 year anniversary”, I’m celebrating being a part of that for half of that time! I have never, in my life, stuck to something as much as I have since the start of this year. I set a New Years Resolution, I lose some weight, the weather warms up and I quit and I start again the next year. It’s so much easier to do something when you find something you love. Now don’t get me wrong, some days are really hard. Some days I have cancelled my workouts. Shoot, some days I have slept through my alarm and actually “no showed” a workout which is super naughty. So no, I’m not perfect. Being consistent is huge to achieve your goals. Balance on the other hand, was something I’ve really loved to learn. I still eat that pizza, I indulge in some chocolate here and there, I consume alcohol with my friends and family. I don’t turn down dinner with friends or at work like I used too. “Naughty” treats are ok in moderation in balance with my workouts. And that’s ok! Now, patience is what was the hardest for me. I wanted instant gratification. I thought a month of working out id shed tons of weight. Well, that’s not realistic. I’m now down 35 pounds since the new year and that didn’t happen over night. Maintaining and setting small, realistic, achievable goals will get you to where you are wanting to go! My first goal was to be under 200 pounds then I get to treat myself to my favorite, “pizza rev”. That seems like forever ago, now here we are.
